5 out of 5 "Celestion Impact 10"
Pretty rare speaker from around 1996, frequency response 50-20.000 Hz, sensitivity 88 dB, rated 6 ohm. These speakers sound great, I have tried and used many bookshelf speakers and these, while looking like unassuming 'budget' speakers, are one of the best. They offer a very neutral and realistic sound, great stereo imaging with lots of depth, the mids sound very clear and are uneffected by the impressive bass (considering their size). The bass goes deep but is never overpowering, the highs are very well integrated, never piercing but just bright on moments that are meant to be. The bassreflex ports are located on the frontside so they are easy on positioning. In my experience there are many speakers that are made to sound nice and to seduce the listener, but don't do a very good job in accurately reproducing the music/ sound and get tyring to listen to in the end. These Celestions however are in the category of speakers that make the music sing its own song. Recommended.
